Description of Duties
This position supports multiple client’s data networks and telephone systems, troubleshooting problems and making recommendations for technology solutions. Support is on site or via remote support sessions over the internet. Work includes complete site installations and monitoring of systems upon completion. Must have reliable transportation. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. often. Must be experienced with MS Office.
Minimum age 18/company policy. No felony convictions.
PBX/TELEPHONE SYSTEM TECHNICIAN
Full-Time Phone Service Technician who has experience with business or industrial telephone systems (Nortel, Fortinet, NEC, etc.) and maintenance of associated internal wiring and sets. Experience with computer hardware and repair is a plus but not required. The position will service facilities located in North Texas.
Education & Experience
Expertise in wiring infrastructure, sets, and troubleshooting of dial tone / T1 problems to the demarc
Familiar with installation and maintenance of telephony equipment, cabling, and related documentation
Telephone and computer experience. Including but not limited to: pulling cable (Cat3 & Cat5), terminations (110, 66, Krone, RJ11 & RJ45) up to 100 pair cables and troubleshooting wiring / CO dial tone problems
Excellent ability at multi-tasking, setting priorities and tracking issues concurrently, with minimal supervision
Experience with outside plant or premise wiring installations
Knowledge of job drawings, sketches, prints and other project documentation
Possess good interpersonal skills and customer service experience
Working knowledge of test equipment (butt set, volt meters)
Some administrative work to include personal time sheets, vouchers, advanced requests processed as required
Maintain confidentiality, safety, and security standards at all times on assigned projects
Experience with Cisco routers, switches and hubs a plus
Long term career minded
Must have telephone system experience
Must be available for 24×7 callout
Must be able to pass a background check
Must be able to lift 50 pounds
Must be able to climb, squat, bend, and sit for prolonged periods of time
High School Diploma
Valid Driver’s License

CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE
Full time job opening. Acts as a first point of contact for customers by delivering exceptional service and tracks the work order flow from initiation to completion. Assists with office administration by performing various other clerical duties.
Responds with a sense of urgency to all incoming customer contacts.
Creates work orders and schedules technicians for jobs.
Ensures an exceptional customer experience by following-up frequently throughout the work order process and responding quickly to any concerns.
Communicates frequent updates to management regarding work order status and customer satisfaction.
Manages the front office and greets all potential customers.
Maintains office cleanliness and organization consistent with the ProTel brand image.
